Who wears tiny shoes, helps people with people with special needs – and will visit the Kenilworth Public Library on Thursday, July 6, at 4:00pm? It’s Rafael the Miniature Therapy Horse! Children between the ages of 4 and 12 who are members of one of the library’s reading clubs and their families are invited to share the afternoon with Michelangelo, a therapy horse owned by Maureen Coultas, Executive Director of Hope’s Promise Farm. Registration for this program begins on Thursday, June 29 for Kenilworth residents, and on Monday, July 3, for out of town residents, space permitting.

Children will have an opportunity to meet Michelangelo, and learn about how miniature horses provide assistance to children and adults with special needs. Hope’s Promise Farm’s equine therapy visits have helped countless people at nursing homes, schools and other New Jersey facilities.

This program was funded by the Friends of the Kenilworth Public Library.
